I was going to call my mother on Sunday, but I worked at my side-gig, and then came home and wrote until midnight. My mother goes to bed at 9:30.
I was going to call my mother on Monday, but I had a dinner meeting I’d forgotten about with members of my PLC, a little bit of a migraine, and had stayed up too late on Sunday. I went to bed at at 8:30.
I was going to call my mother yesterday but I had a gaming program after school and then a ridiculous migraine. I didn’t come out of it until after 11:00.
I was going to call my mother today, but I had grad class. I didn’t go to grad class because I had another migraine. It just subsided a few minutes ago.
I was going to call my mother just a few minutes ago, but I had to write this slice and maybe my mother will read it. My mother likes that I work on my writing.
I’m going to call my mother right now but I have to click publish and link to my post. I have to make one more comment.

Love the repetition. I want to try out this pattern…the subtle changes in each paragraph make for an interesting read! Hope she enjoys reading it!
I hope you are on the pone right now! 🙂 I like this slice of excuses… very good idea!
You should call your mother. I have similar issues with calling my mom – I’m so exhausted, I have book club tonight, I need to do schoolwork, etc. etc. She never complains that I don’t call (so then I feel guilty anyway!) and she’s always so happy when I call. I should call more often.
It’s always good to talk to your mom, I hope you were able to connect tonight!
I hope you called your mother! I have the same trouble… I intend to call and time slips away and too much time goes by.
I love the rhythm of this piece! I’m glad you’re feeling better!! We missed you in class! Hope you and your mom had a good chat!
She didn’t answer the phone! Maybe I’ll catch up with her tonight. I would have much rather been on class.
