Eleventh Slice: Reasons I Have Not Called My Mother

I was going to call my mother on Sunday, but I worked at my side-gig, and then came home and wrote  until midnight.  My mother goes to bed at 9:30.

I was going to call my mother on Monday, but I had a dinner meeting I’d forgotten about with members of my PLC,  a little bit of a migraine, and had stayed up too late on Sunday.  I went to bed at at 8:30.

I was going to call my mother yesterday but I had a gaming program after school and then a ridiculous migraine.  I didn’t come out of it until after 11:00.

I was going to call my mother today, but I had grad class.  I didn’t go to grad class because I had another migraine.  It just subsided a few minutes ago.

I was going to call my mother just a few minutes ago, but I had to write this slice and maybe my mother will read it.  My mother likes that I work on my writing.

I’m going to call my mother right now but I have to click publish and link to my post.  I have to make one more comment.

I’m going to call my mother right now.  Later I’ll make one more comment.  I’m going to call my mother right now.  She goes to bed at 9:30.

  1. You should call your mother. I have similar issues with calling my mom – I’m so exhausted, I have book club tonight, I need to do schoolwork, etc. etc. She never complains that I don’t call (so then I feel guilty anyway!) and she’s always so happy when I call. I should call more often.
